Good nourishing food lies at the heart of successful writing retreats. All meals are provided, using delicious, wholesome and seasonal ingredients. Snacks, drinks and treats are available all day and night, so you can graze to your heart’s content.
Breakfast is a help yourself meal between 7.30am and 9.00am. We keep the kitchen well stocked so you can select whatever appeals.
Lunch is a relaxed affair with a tasty selection of hot and cold food available between 1.00pm and 2.00pm. You can enjoy the company of others around the big kitchen table, or take time out in your room or around the grounds.
Dinner is served by your hosts on Monday evening. After that we have a rota so that each guest helps prepare dinner for the whole group on one evening. Please don’t worry about your cooking skills (or lack of them). All recipes and ingredients are provided, and Jane and Kath are on hand as ‘head cook’ to help out.
