Rosemerryn is our lovely venue at Lamorna, in far west Cornwall. The wisteria-clad house was built as an artist’s residence with light airy rooms and beautiful woodland views.
You will spend the week surrounded by other writers, but you will also have a choice of solitary spaces in which to write, read, relax and daydream, whether in your own spacious bedroom or around the house and grounds.
Rosemerryn offers log fires, comfy sofas and a ‘home from home’ atmosphere with books, sculpture and textiles to pamper and inspire you. The stunning scenery of the Coastal Path is close by and the house has its own private woodland walks. It’s the perfect place in which to enjoy a creative writing holiday. If you would like to spend a week being creative, enjoying good company, and feeling a million miles away from life’s many distractions, then do join us.

Address: Rosemerryn, Lamorna, Penzance TR19 6BN
By road: Rosemerryn is 15-20 minutes drive west of Penzance, just beyond Mousehole and close to Lamorna Cove. From Newlyn follow the B3315 past Mousehole and through Sheffield towards Lamorna Cove. Look out for the Pottery on your right, then go past the left turning to the Cove and continue up the hill towards Boleigh. When you see a cattle sign in the hedge on your left, signal right and turn (on a bend) down the small lane into Rosemerryn. The house sign and a green wheelie bin can usually be seen beside the entrance to the lane. The house is a couple of 1oo yards along and there is plenty to turn and park.
By train or bus: The nearest mainline and local rail and bus stations are in Penzance, next door to each other. There is a taxi rank just outside and we can provide details of local taxi firms if you would like to book one in advance.
