Well, our November 2015 retreat is nearly upon us, workshops are being prepared, menus are all set, and blackberries have been gathered.
With the admittedly all too shy summer sun now obliterated by merciless rain, I have spent the day packing my camping equipment away for another year, and donning the winter wellies to walk the dog. I’m so glad to have our next retreat to look forward to. It’s like a bright beacon of writerly loveliness, breaking up the long stretch between now and Christmas.
Jane and I are looking forward to warmly welcoming friends old and new to Rosemerryn. We’ll have the woodburner roaring and the cheese board ready, and a bottle of port on stand-by – just in case. Those of you who have been before (and that’s exactly half of you) will know that you’ll work hard on your writing too, so you’ll earn your treats.
We’re sorry we couldn’t accommodate everyone who wanted to come on this one, but we really hope to welcome you on a future retreat. Keep an eye on our website blog, or facebook page for news of next year’s retreats, and don’t forget to book early. Bookings are already coming in for January. What better way to start a new year?
In the meantime, roll on November 16th.
